...A rather enjoyable project, working with vectors...not the usual fix but fun nonetheless. Finally perfected the character to my liking.......i will eventually resolve this form for my fiction... will be placed in scraps afterwards
The character's name is Aspen
done entirely by pen tool, brush tool, and alpha channel masks
in photoshop CS

thats very interesting creature you got there bro! the first thing i thought about when i saw this was a poke'mon of some sort... very well done... and this is so like you to do something with no prelime drawing and scanning but made simply by the mouse and pen tool... can wait to see what you do when you generate a human with this quality of complex by means of only pen tool and vector masks. good job. it's great to see that you haven't given up your art in the past months while i have been away. ^^

Art is art. It testifies about anything, but when it testifies for God, it's like a lion being let out of it's cage.

it's a project within itself......it took me years to master the pen and alpha channel stuff....if your interested in getting handles on that kinda stuff start with manipulating selections...

Hee hee... His expression looks angry, but he's just too cute for me to be too terribly intimidated. :D I love your art style!

So this is an original character for something you're writing? Any plans to continue with that? I'd love to see you post something new. :)

hehe...thanks for the visit first and foremost...eh...he DOES belong to some personal fiction, but the story had no real motive behind it. it's basically an adaptation of one of my early works, back when i couldn't draw and all my plot ideas were voiced in one spasmodic sitting. so, most of that stuff is lost to me now, and this was the conjuring of a faint memory. basically, this little guy is supposed to merge with a human amplifying the powers of both the host and the...parasite??? but what we see here is the bastardization of the original concept. the "parasite" itself was originally supposed to be naked, and the hybrid would be clothed, having assumed the body of the host. there is a deviation in my gallery entitled "auschpen", or something like that. the accompanying concept sketches about the paper illustrate the basic idea. i guess i will correspond with you there, if you are at all interested.
